I am thrilled you are doing this journey, I wish I could be with you but just to let you know I have made a performance called Of Water and Tears inspired by your book The Future of Ice, to the music of Bach and Britten for the Glyndebourne Chorus in a Jerwood Project for Glyndebourne Opera in Sussex, we perform the piece over the next week 4 times. The set is an iceberg and a trough of water. I have based the piece around one quote from your book - To few of us remember how to be heartbroken. Or why we should be. We don’t look because heartbreak might imply failure. But the opposite is true. A broken heart is an open hearyt, like a flower unfolding from its calyx, the one nourishing the other. -
I thank you for all your inspiration I hope my small project will add to the art of this time. I hope the trip is going well love clare Whistler
